I did a bit of volunteer work with the good people over at El Hahual, making some pictures for them to use to hopefully update their website soon. I would encourage anyone interested in studying spanish and volunteering in Guatemala to consider their program.
that sounds like a great program! great use of depth of field on the second pic. like the angle of the shot and the play of out-of-focus to in-focus at the same time, i really like it. great timing to catch the kids expression in the first shot! he was playing just for the camera!
after going back to the pics, i had to say, i especially like the the 3rd shot with two kids playing with a pot and a cup (not sure) but there's a lot going on there. the wall in the background, the project they're working on, the look of concentration, and then the lighting you got for the shot.
