Today is the 187th anniversary of independence in Guatemala. I've been keeping busy in Xela, studying Spanish four hours a day and volunteering with a school for disadvantaged children in the afternoons, but I have had made time to make some pictures around town and at the futbol game. In case anyone is wondering, the guy stuck on the barbed-wire fence did manage to get down with his family jewels intact.
